Getting to Know Savuti
You will return to Savuti and get to know this glorious place a little better. Savuti is famous for its lions and elephants. It was out on the Savuti Marshes that the famously ferocious lions of Savuti once hunted elephants. Other wildlife is also present here in large numbers, and the varied landscape holds great appeal, including Leopard Rock and Gobabis Hill with examples of ancient rock art on the walls.
You will be woken up at 6:00 a.m. for coffee/tea with rusks and biscuits. Your early morning game drive will be a highlight of your safari, it’s when animals are active and easily seen, and the light is beautiful. All the same, like all good things, the drive will come to an end and you will arrive back at around 11 a.m. for brunch. Ask our professional guide everything you ever wanted to know about wildlife while out on a game drive right around 2:30 p.m. On this drive, you will get to visit the famous rock paintings in Savuti.

Welcome to the Okavango Delta
On this day, the camp will be taken down and you will head out to your final destination. Yes, we saved the best for last as you will now be heading to the Okavango Delta. Our safari vehicle will take you to Boro where you will board a mokoro, a traditional dug-out canoe, polled by an experienced guide for a 3-hour cruise down uncharted side channels that are not accessible by motorboats. This brings you up close and personal to arguably Africa’s most pristine gameland. At first, you may be unsettled about just how close you are to the wild, until you realize that you have just become a part of the environment. This is where you will get into such a relaxed mode and take it all in. Some guests have meditated along the cruise, some have fallen asleep, and some have been perplexed about the entire experience. Your story is yet to be told. Lessons on poling a mokoro, basket weaving lessons and a sunset mokoro will also be on the agenda for the day.

Okavango Delta
At around 10:00 a.m. you will be taken on a leisurely 7-hour boat trip. You will then be taken to a boat station in Audi Camp. A boat trip makes a wonderful alternative to driving. On this boat trip, you'll enjoy exploring nature in a whole new way. You will spend the afternoon game and bird viewing from the boat. Your swamp cruiser is equipped with overhead shade so the noon heat should be bearable. You will go through one of the most spectacular areas that the Okavango Delta has to offer.
The wide open plains of this area are home to a large number of red lechwe, a semi-aquatic antelope with amazing coating
adaptation, and lots of crocodiles and birds. You're in for a real treat when you join us for a picnic. You'll get to eat fine foods in a pretty open-air setting. You'll arrive back shortly before dark to a warmed bucket shower and a hearty campfire where you will have dinner. By now your entire troop is one big family, brought together by the spirit of the delta.
