Day 1

Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Drive 227km (4-5 hours)
Today you start you adventure to Lake Mburo National Park. Your guide will meet you at your hotel and you head southwest to Uganda’s smallest savanna park. It is a gem with great and unique activities. Before, we shall have a stop at the Equator at Kayabwe for a cup of coffee and the equator experiment. We arrive at the lodge in the early afternoon and relax. Later in the evening, head out for a game drive at the park.

Day 2

Drive 265km (6-7 hours)
The park is one of the places where you can have the experience of walking anywhere in the park. Today after breakfast, we head to the park offices, where we will get a ranger that will lead you on a walking safari at the park. After the walk, we drive to the Kigezi Highlands to Buhoma. The drive is amazing and you will arrive late afternoon. You can check in at your lodge and take a rest from the drive or take an optional walk to the Munyaga Falls in the Bwindi Forest.

Day 3

Gorilla Tracking

Gorilla Tracking

Rise and Shine. A day for your greatest wildlife encounter. Wake up in the dawn, have breakfast and your lunch packed. Drive to the park office for a briefing before you head for gorilla tracking in the mist-covered Bwindi Forest. Over 400 mountain gorillas live here and you will be at the headquarters. After briefing, the rangers and guides at the park will lead you into the forest. Return, you will be given your certificates and you head to your lodge, to relax and refresh from the walk.
Dinner and overnight, at Buhoma Gorilla Camp.

Day 4

To Queen Elizabeth National Park Via Ishasha Sector

To Queen Elizabeth National Park Via Ishasha Sector

Today you leave Buhoma and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen Elizabeth is a wonder and boasts with vast biodiversity from open savannah, green forests, open water, swamps, etc. We start with the southern sector of Ishasha which is famous for tree climbing lions. We shall have a morning game drive here and try to look out for these felines. We shall have lunch at Enjojo Lodge and later head further north to the Katunguru area and check in at our lodge. Here we shall prepare for a night game drive at the Kasenyi Plains. At night the wildness never sleeps, and the nocturnals are always active. We shall try our chance to see what happens under the dark skies.

Day 5

Kyambura Gorge walk and boat cruise

Kyambura Gorge walk and boat cruise

A day to enjoy the park’s northern park. Start with the best place at the park, which is the 100m deep Kyambura Gorge. It is a valley that hosts a community of chimpanzees, and other much life. We shall take a walk here, and search for these primates. After we return to the lodge have lunch and wait to cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Boat trips on the Kazinga Channel offer great game viewing, you will do a 3 hour return trip that goes past schools of Hippos, animals that come to drink, and birds.

Day 6

An early breakfast, and short morning game drive at the Kasenyi plains. After we hit the road back to Entebbe or Kampala. Lunch will be had along the way and this will be our last day.
