Arusha National Park

On the second day of your safari after breakfast, you will start your day by heading to Arusha National Park. The park is well known for its uniqueness. Discover and explore the diversity of Arusha National Park! The park is nested on the foothills of Mount Meru, Africa’s most beautiful volcanoes and fifth highest peak. It takes only 45 minutes to drive from Arusha City Center to find this beautiful park. The presence of Mount Meru makes it an ideal high-altitude acclimatization warm-up before conquering Kili. The park offers way too many attractions compared to its area.

The unforgiving landscapes of Mount Meru and Ash Cone, scenic views of Momella lakes, tropical forest glades, and Ngurdoto Crater are just a few. Visitors to this park will have opportunities to do game viewing, ride a horse, climb Mount Meru as well as organized walks with a ranger.

Arusha-Lake Manyara National Park

Arusha-Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you will check out and transfer to Lake Manyara National Park where you will enjoy a full-day game drive in search of the tree-climbing lions and other wildlife found in this small, scenic ornithological paradise. Contrasting with the intimacy of the forest is the grassy floodplain and its expansive views eastward, across the alkaline lake, to the jagged blue volcanic peaks that rise from the endless Maasai Steppes. Large buffalos, wildebeests and zebra herds congregate on these grassy plains, as do giraffes—some so dark in colouration that they appear to be black from a distance. You'll enjoy your packed lunch at a strategic location, and later in the afternoon drive back to your accommodation for overnight and hot dinner waiting for the next day's adventure to come.
