The long-awaited gorilla tracking experience is here!
Tracking Gorillas is one of the absolute highlights of your safari. You will have a very early breakfast and drive to the park entry for a pre-briefing during which you will be grouped into 8, assigned guides, armed rangers and then let loose into the forest.
Trekking may take between 3 and 8 hours - depending on where the gorillas have wandered off, but every distance covered is well worth the effort.
After you meet the gentle giants you are allowed an hour with them, then you will hike back to the park headquarters.
Day ends with reminiscing about the day with dinner and overnight at a comfortable lodge/guesthouse.

Spend this day at leisure at your lodge, or its surrounding areas for sightseeing including a stop at the Batwa pygmy village.
The Batwa pygmies were a semi-nomadic community who for thousands of years occupied the mountainous region of western Uganda. They lived a typical hunter-gatherer lifestyle, but now things have changed and only a few are left. These are the ones we visit during this tour.
