Arrival in Windhoek and drive to Etosha
Welcome to Namibia! After a (hopefully) relaxed flight, you have arrived in Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia. You will be transferred to the car rental company where you will receive your rental car. It's finally time to drive toward Etosha National Park. On the circa 4-hour drive, you can stop in Otjiwarongo for a coffee and snacks. The Bohemia Book Shop Café is recommended as they offer sandwiches and cake in a cozy atmosphere. If you arrive early enough, you could even spend this afternoon in Etosha National Park.
Etosha National Park sets the scene for Namibia’s foremost wildlife showcase. Here, a series of waterholes guarantee spectacular game viewing, flanked by mystical, open grasslands along the edges of the inhospitable Etosha Pan.
