Dar es Salaam - Kigoma

You'll be picked up from your hotel in Dar and transferred to Dar Airport for your scheduled flight to Kigoma at 7:30 am. You'll arrive at Kigoma airport at 9:40 am. Time be readvised on the booking date.
On arrival, you'll transfer to Kibirizi port for your boat to Gombe for 2 hours sharing a boat. On arrival, you'll transfer to the camp and have lunch. Afterward, you will proceed with chimpanzee tracking in the forest.
Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Gombe Rest House F/B.

Besides chimpanzees, primates inhabiting Gombe Stream National Park include beachcomber olive baboons, red colobus, red-tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, and velvet monkeys. Red-tailed monkeys and blue monkeys also hybridize in the area.

The park is also home to over 200 bird species and bushpigs. There are many species of snakes, and hippopotami and leopards. You can trek into the forest to view the chimpanzees, as well as swim and snorkel in Lake Tanganyika with almost 100 kinds of colorful cichlid fish.

Chimp Tracking in Gombe National Park

At 8:30 am, you'll start chimpanzee tracking in the forest. Gombe became well known for the conservation project started by Jane Goodall, who first arrived in Gombe in 1960.
Apart from chimpanzee viewing, many other species of primates live in Gombe Stream’s tropical forests, like velvet, Colobus monkeys, and baboons. You'll visit Kakombe Waterfalls and Climb to Jane’s Peak.
Your meals and overnight stay will be at Gombe Rest House F/B.

Gombe - Dar es Salaam

The morning after breakfast, you'll pick up and transfer by boat back to Kigoma town. You'll be picked up on arrival and transferred to the airport for your flight back to Dar es Salaam. You'll depart at 10:10 am and arrive at 12:20 pm. Time can vary on the booking date.
