Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

Pick up in the morning from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, and transfer to Wilson Airport where you will board your local flight to Masai Mara National Reserve. Your flight to Masai Mara can be in the morning, afternoon, or early evening depending on your international arrival time. Arrive at Masai Mara in time to be transferred to the hotel and have lunch. In the afternoon, have your first game drive with the possibility of spotting some animals. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast; leave for a full-day game drive carrying packed lunch. Masai Mara is host to the highest and most varied concentration of wild animals than any other wildlife park in the region. The scenic appeal of the tree-studded Savannah plains, the moderate climate, and the diversity of wild game species make it a one-stop shop for game-viewing activities. We shall traverse the Masai Mara reserve on Wildlife viewing drives encountering the big five and more of the lesser game. All meals and overnight at the camp.

Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, go for a game drive using different routes. Game drives are conducted in 4WD Land cruisers with expert guides that are knowledgeable and passionate about the flora and fauna of the Masai Mara. There is an option to enjoy a hot air balloon ride and float across the savannah plains above herds of wildlife and watch the sunrise over the horizon or a visit to Maasai village to witness their fascinating culture; visit local school and village (manyatta). Guided game walks are conducted in the company of Maasai guides at a comfortable pace. The guides will also provide a wealth of information on the traditional medicinal uses of plants and Masai folklore. Walks can be taken either in the morning or afternoon, and take around 1½ to 2 hours.
