On the first day of the tour, you will depart early in the morning from Nairobi, Kenya’s bustling capital city, heading towards Lake Nakuru National Park. The drive typically takes about 2 to 3 hours, covering approximately 160 kilometers (100 miles) via the scenic Great Rift Valley.

Upon arrival at Lake Nakuru National Park, you will embark on a game drive as you make your way to your lodge or campsite for check-in and lunch.
In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy another game drive, exploring the park’s varied ecosystems. Lake Nakuru is famous for its rhino sanctuary, offering a rare chance to see both black and white rhinos up close.

On the fourth day, you will have an early start with breakfast at your lodge or camp in the Masai Mara National Reserve. After breakfast, you’ll transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Entebbe, Uganda. The early departure maximizes the day, allowing you to transition smoothly between countries.

Upon landing at Entebbe International Airport, you will be greeted by your Ugandan guide, who will assist with your transfer to your accommodation in Entebbe. Depending on the time of arrival, you may have some time in the afternoon to relax or explore. Kibale Forest is known as the “Primate Capital of the World” due to its high concentration of primate species, including over 1,500 chimpanzees.

The trekking experience involves hiking through the dense, lush rainforest with a professional guide who helps locate the chimpanzee troops. Once you find the chimps, you’ll have an opportunity to observe them in their natural habitat. You’ll witness their social behavior, such as feeding, grooming, and playing, while learning about their habits and the conservation efforts that protect them.

On this day, you will depart from Kibale Forest and travel south to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda's most diverse wildlife reserves. The drive offers picturesque views of the Rwenzori Mountains and the surrounding savannah landscapes. Upon arrival, you will check into your lodge and have some time to relax and refresh.

In the afternoon, you will embark on an exciting boat ride along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. This channel is renowned for its rich wildlife and birdlife, making the boat cruise a fantastic opportunity for close-up wildlife viewing. Expect to see large herds of hippos wallowing in the water, crocodiles basking on the banks, and elephants and buffaloes coming to drink.

You’ll begin with an early breakfast at your lodge before heading to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking. The Park rangers will provide guidelines on how to approach and interact with the gorillas to ensure a safe and respectful encounter for both visitors and the animals.

Bwindi is home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, and the trek offers a rare opportunity to observe them in their natural habitat.
The trek can range from a few hours to the entire day, depending on the location of the gorilla families.

After the trek, you’ll return to your lodge for lunch and a short rest before departing for Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale, a journey that takes about 2-3 hours by road.
