You will depart from Nairobi in the morning, ideally around 8:00am, to maximize your time in Tsavo West National Park. Upon arrival, you will have lunch and then embark on an afternoon game drive. Tsavo West is the most visited section of Tsavo National Park and is renowned for more than just its wildlife. One of its highlights is the famous Mzima Springs, where up to 227.3 million liters of cool, crystal-clear water flows out of the ground through porous volcanic rocks. The water is believed to originate from the Chyulu Hills via an underground river. In Tsavo West, you will also encounter a variety of wildlife, including the impressive red-dust elephants, as well as lions, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.

After breakfast, we'll embark on a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch in hand. One of the highlights of the day will be a visit to Roaring Rocks, named for the sound of lions roaring in the area. The views over Tsavo from the top of the 98m rock face are breathtaking. Similarly stunning views can be enjoyed from Poacher's Lookout, a hill in the center of the park. Another interesting stop is the Chaimu Crater Viewpoint, a volcano less than 200 years old, with its striking black coke composition. This area is known for sightings of klipspringer, a small and agile antelope whose Swahili name, “mbuzi mawe,” translates to "rock goat." In the southwest corner of Tsavo West National Park lies Lake Jipe, with the Kenyan-Tanzanian border running through it. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Amboseli National Park, located south of Nairobi, features a predominantly dry, ancient lakebed and delicate grassland interspersed with patches of acacia woodland. In the southern region, however, you'll find several small, rocky, volcanic hills. The vegetation around the Ol Okenya, Ol Tukai, and Enkongo Narok swamps is lush, with yellow-barked acacias and phoenix palms.
