Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After an early breakfast, you will depart for the Ngorongoro Crater. Upon arrival, you'll descend over 600m toward the crater floor. The crater is a breathtaking natural wonder and supports a diversity of animals due to its all-year-round water and food supply.
The resident animals include herds of wildebeests, buffalos, zebras, hippos, African elephants, elands, and warthogs. The park is unique due to its dense population of predators such as lions, jackals, cheetahs, hyenas, and the mysterious, rarely spotted leopards.
On the southwest corner of the crater lies Lake Magadi, a large, shallow, alkaline lake described as one of the main features of the crater. This lake is home to large numbers of flamingos, hippos, and many other water birds.
Later in the evening, you will return to Arusha and be transferred to the airport.
