Arrival at Kilimanjaro airport and transfer to Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, you will be met by your private guide and driven to Arusha for your first day in Tanzania. The transfer from Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arusha will take about 1 hour, so you can sit back and enjoy the ride before arriving in Arusha for a well-deserved overnight stay.

You will spend your first night in a homestay, where you will have the chance to immerse yourself in Tanzanian culture, eat delicious local food and and see the way of life of the local people.

Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Early in the morning you will be picked up and ready for your adventure to the Serengeti Plains. You will drive past the Great Rift Valley and onto the Ngorongoro Highlands enjoying a magnificent view of the Ngorongoro Crater. You will arrive in the Serengeti plains. The Serengeti National Park offers quite simply the best safari in Africa. Due to the vastness of the park, the herds of animals are always interesting and varied. There is a large migratory population in the park consisting of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle. The lunch will be in the form of a "lunch box" to allow you to enjoy the park all day!

You will overnight in a tented camp in the middle of the savanna and the animals.

Serengeti National Park

Early in the morning, you will leave for a safari. The safaris start very early to give you the best chance to see animals on the move before the sun fully rises and the heat of the day pushes them into the shade. This is a great opportunity to see elephants drinking in the morning or a hippo returning to the pond. Our game drives will take you close to some of the most magnificent wildlife in the world, so you can experience a truly African adventure.

Ngorongoro Crater

Today you will go to the famous Ngorongoro Crater. Part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, you will find almost every animal in East Africa here. The descent into the crater is picturesquely beautiful with lush forest and thousands of animals overlooking the view. The crater is home to over 25,000 large animals, including 26 endangered black rhinos, as well as the densest concentration of lions in the world.

You will overnight in a lodge in the valleys of Karatu.

Tarangire National Park and drive back to Arusha

This day is devoted to discovering Tarangire Park via the many tracks that allow you to get close to the animals in the beautiful savannah landscapes. Lined with acacia forest and giant baobab trees, this park is punctuated by immense areas of marshland attracting myriads of animals. Renowned for seeing elephants at close quarters, the park is also home to species that are difficult to locate in other northern parks, such as the Gerenuk, the Oryx and the Greater Kudu.

At the end of the day, you will drive back to Arusha for your overnight in the homestay.
