A Big 5 Safari

A Big 5 Safari

Transfer to Cape Town Airport for your flight to Nelspruit. Take a charter flight into the Sabi Sands Private Reserve and stay at Arathusa Safari Lodge for 3 nights on a fully-inclusive basis.

A short flight takes you from the Cape’s glittering oceans and plump vineyards to the heart of big-game country. The Sabi Sands Reserve adjoins the Kruger National Park and offers the double advantage of epic Big 5 viewing (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo) as well as the exclusivity of a private reserve. Leopards, in particular, are abundant in this region with perhaps the globe’s highest population. Arathusa prides itself on its leopard viewing. As these elusive cats are territorial, their regular appearance in the area enables us to plot their movements and observe their behaviour. Activities include morning and afternoon game drives leading into evening game drives. Walking safaris are also offered after the morning game drive for those who want to experience nature up close.
