Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, you will be welcomed by Nature in Spirit Travel Guide and transferred to House of West Kili for dinner and overnight. The House of West Kili is a lodge located in tranquil environment in the village of Lawate on the Western Slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. It is 30-40 minutes’ drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport and easily accessible by tarmac road. Depending on your arrival time, you will have time and rest a bit before dinner.

Day 2

Mount Kilimanjaro Hike

Mount Kilimanjaro Hike

After breakfast, you will drive to the western side of the mountain and up through the forests to the Londorossi Gate, an altitude of 2,100m. The ascent is over 1,000m, moving steadily up through tropical montane forests, home to a variety of animals and birdlife. With the help of your guide, you may spot colobus monkeys, crested turacos and more. It is not uncommon to hear elephants rumbling through the forest.

You will drive up to Shira Plateau at the altitude of 3,400m, a 500,000-year-old volcanic caldera that is now a World Heritage Site. You will start your hike here and continue to Shira 1 Camp, Lion Gorge and the foothills of the Shira Pinnacles. Kilimanjaro’s iconic snow-covered table top, Kibo Peak, should be visible from here, as well as neighboring glaciers.
Then, at the end of the Shira Plateau Day hike, you will walk back to the starting point of the hike and have your picnic lunch, later board the vehicles ready to drive to Arusha for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park

After breakfast at your accommodation, your exciting excursion begins. With a picnic lunch, you will drive to Arusha National Park, one of Northern Tanzania's smallest parks but one with an abundance of options for wildlife viewing. It takes around 1h45m to drive from Arusha to the park, and once you arrive, your guide will locate an ideal location for you to admire the picturesque views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Treat yourself with a good view of the Ngurdoto crater famously known as “mini Ngorongoro”, the Momella and Tululisa lakes, the Fig tree arch together with a variety of wildlife species like buffaloes, warthogs, elephants, birds, and good number of primates.
You will have lunch in one of the picnic sites by the Momella lake with the beautiful vista of hippos and water birds. After lunch you will continue search for game viewing opportunities in other parts of the park.
As evening draws close you will depart the park and drive to your accommodation to rest before dinner.

Day 4

Tarangire National Park

Equipped with picnic lunch, after breakfast you will go for a full day game drive to Tanzania’s elephant’s headquarters, Tarangire National Park. The morning and afternoon are yours to explore the imposing National Park, host to more than 500 bird species.
You will have lunch in one of the picnic sites and proceed with game drive in other areas of the park. Big game viewing is absolutely rewarding here as you have uncountable animals to search for from giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests to lions. Tarangire River, the main source of water in the park, tends to draw a lot of wildlife.

While you may have an opportunity to see leopards, cheetahs and hyenas, this is a game of chance since they are rare in the park.
Before sunset, you will head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5

Maasai Village/ Lake Manyara National Park

Maasai Village/ Lake Manyara National Park

Today after breakfast, you will drive to a Maasai Boma to experience “a Day in Maasai Boma”. You will get to know the villagers and participate in daily activities, like milking cows, renovate their houses, or wearing traditional dress.
You will then proceed to Mto wa Mbu for a hot local lunch, a very good opportunity to explore Tanzanian dishes. You can also test a local banana beer to add a unique taste of local flavor.

After lunch, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park for an afternoon game drive. In this small but very beautiful park with the dense forest, you will have the opportunity to see many animals. The scenery will definitely grace your eyes as the park is celebrated worldwide for its lions who are fond of tree branches. You will also be able to enjoy the beautiful forest of the park as you search for varieties of wildlife from birds, primates, elephants, big cats or cape buffalo.
After a productive game drive, you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast you will head to Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro conservation Area with game enroute. You will witness spectacular view of Ngorongoro highlands as you drive towards the endless plains. While waiting for your guide to complete the gate formalities, you can climb up a giant kopje to get a better view of the vast savanna that extends to the horizon.

These large rocks serve as habitat for various species of flora and wildlife that are unique to these strange-looking stone formations. You will drive to the camp for check-in, lunch and head out again for an afternoon game drive. After an exciting day you will return back to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 7

Serengeti National Park

Today after breakfast is another day for a great adventure in Serengeti National Park, home to all five of the Big Five. You may decide to go for optional Balloon ride in the midst of the endless plain which end with breakfast in the bush.
Talk to your guide on what you want to see as every area of the Serengeti has something special to offer.

Whether it's witnessing a rhino amble through the bush near Kopjes, spying on a wild dog, or gasping as you watch a huge cat hunt its meal. You will go back to the camp for lunch then head out again for an afternoon game drive at around 15:00. You will enjoy the sunset as you drive back to the camp during the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 8

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast you will depart with picnic lunch and herd to Ngorongoro crater. On the way you will visit a Maasai boma. Explore wildlife in the self-contained ecosystem of Ngorongoro crater.
This is a land of multiple uses where wild animals and human beings have managed to co-exist together in harmony. You will drive more than 600 meters deep to Ngorongoro crater, a fallen mountain believed to erode more than millions of years ago.

You will have game drive to search for various animals from endangered black rhinos, lions, buffaloes, elephants, gazelles, warthogs, hippos, zebras, waterbucks, hyenas, jackals, to large flocks of flamingos along Lake Magadi. Late in the afternoon after an eventful game viewing day, you will return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Drive back to Arusha

Drive back to Arusha

The end of your wildlife safari is today! However, one last adventure is left, Leaving Karatu in the morning after breakfast, travel through wilderness and striking landscapes dotted with traditional villages in the search of Arusha town.
In the midafternoon, you will arrive at Arusha Coffee lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will be transferred to the Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight home.
