Day 1

Drive to the Tarangire National Park

On arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, pass customs and meet with your private safari guide. Your safari includes your own private vehicle with an open-top and large side windows, making it ideal for game viewing and comfortable trip. The vehicle has wi-fi on board and a fully stocked bar-fridge. You depart for the Tarangire, located about 2.5 hours away. Depending on your flight time, you might require a pre-night in Arusha, contact us for options.

The Tarangire is a National park, known for its large herds of elephants and big baobabs. You will experience your first game drive within the park en-route to the camp. Arrive on time for dinner and night.

Day 2

Game viewing in the Tarangire

Game viewing in the Tarangire

Enjoy a full day game viewing in the Tarangire. Chat to your guide to customize your experience: you can choose to enjoy two small drives and get back to camp for lunch and a siesta, or pack a picnic lunch and enjoy a full day of game viewing.

Tarangire’s wildlife can be viewed all year long, although the best time is during the dry months, when zebra, wildebeest, buffalo and the rarer Fringe-eared Oryx and eland gather at the last remaining water holes or shelter from the fierce sun under squat baobab trees. Also common in the Tarangire are pythons, which with patience and keen observance may be spotted coiled in tree branches; and there are many birds, mostly in the South of the park.

Ndovu Camp has comfortable 12 tents, a lovely swimming pool where you can cool off during the heat of the day, and offers delicious fresh food prepared by the local chef.

Day 3

Game Viewing in Lake Manyara National Park

Game Viewing in Lake Manyara National Park

Enjoy breakfast at camp and depart the Tarangire for nearby Lake Manyara National Park where you will experience some game viewing and a picnic lunch.

Lake Manyara is located on the edge of the Rift Valley and consists of a huge soda lake that covers two-third of the park. It is well known for its large troops of baboons, tree-climbing lions and rich variety of bird-life. Manyara holds a wide variety of habitats, such as groundwater forests, swamps, acacia bushes and the hot springs.

In the afternoon, exit the park and drive to nearby Karatu and your overnight stay at Rhotia Valley Tented Lodge. The Rhotia Valley Tented Lodge is more than a Lodge. Your stay at Rhotia Valley Tented Lodge will directly contribute to the well-being of local children. A major portion of your stay at the lodge goes straight to the children’s home and to the local school. Enjoy dinner and night.

Day 4-5

Enjoy the Central Serengeti Plain

Enjoy the Central Serengeti Plain

Early morning breakfast and enjoy the drive through to the Serengeti for a 2-night stay in the Central area. The game viewing is again completely customized to what you wish to experience and your guide will chat to you about the route and the movement of the animals.

The Serengeti plain is known for an abundant wildlife all year long. It is home to the largest migration of animals anywhere on the planet ‘The impressive Great Migration’. The Park is divided into 4 main areas with the Central Serengeti of the Seronera Valley and Seronera River, being one of the most visited area.

Pioneer Camp is situated away from the main routes, with wonderful views over the plain from an elevated rocky area, which becomes even more beautiful during sunset when the sun reflects to the rocks and you can enjoy a drink while looking at the stars and listening to the sounds of the wildlife around you.

Day 6

Today you travel through the Serengeti plains on the way back and stop in the Ngorongoro Highlands area. Lunch will be enjoyed en-route and you arrive at camp in the late afternoon. Time to stretch your legs and enjoy a wonderful dinner before an early night.

The Pakulala Safari Camp common areas are accented by the vast beauty of the surrounding scenery. The campfire, with views of the crater, is undoubtedly a turning point for travelers. An unforgettable place for a drink under the stars in the Tanzanian sky.

Early wake up call and drive down with a packed breakfast into the Ngorongoro Crater. Once a gigantic volcano, it is the largest intact caldera in the world. Today, long since having collapsed and eroded, it is an extensive highland area with the famous 600 m deep Ngorongoro Crater as its focal point. Nearly three million years old, the ancient caldera shelters one of the most beautiful wildlife havens on earth.

Enjoy a wonderful game drive on the Crater floor and a picnic lunch and exit the Park to drive back to Arusha and the transfer to Kilimanjaro airport on time for your onward flight. Or contact us to extend your safari with a few days at the beach, or a gorilla trekking.
