Day 1

Zanzibar To Tarangire National Park

Zanzibar To Tarangire National Park

After early breakfast at your hotel in Zanzibar—depart from Zanzibar to Arusha Airport with arrival at 9:00 am. Upon arrival, you will meet your safari vehicle for Tarangire National Park. Have lunch in the park.
Tarangire National Park is Tanzania’s third-largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs and up to six thousand elephants. Later, drive to Karatu for dinner and your overnight stay at the Bougainvillea Lodge.

Main Destination:

Karatu - Serengeti National Park

Karatu - Serengeti National Park

After breakfast at your Country Lodge, depart for Serengeti National Park. Serengeti is famed for its annual migration, when some two million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebras and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelles join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Yet even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa. See great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephants and giraffes, and hundreds upon hundreds of elands, topis, kongonis, impalas and Grant's gazelles. A picnic lunch will be provided. After stopping for your picnic lunch on a kopje (rock outcropping) in Serengeti, you will continue further into the park and go on a game drive. Dinner and your overnight stay are at Shuhudia Adventure Camp.

Main Destination:
Serengeti National Park
Best Time To Visit January to February and June to October (Different areas are best at different times)
High Season July to March (The Seronera area is crowded)

Enjoy The Magnificent Savannah and Never-Ending Plains

Enjoy The Magnificent Savannah and Never-Ending Plains

Enjoy a full day of game drives around Serengeti. It opens onto the Serenora valley, a vibrant wildlife area at the heart of the Serengeti. The spectacle of predators versus prey dominates Tanzania's greatest park. Golden–manned lion prides feast on the abundance of plain grazers. Solitary leopards haunt the acacia trees lining the Seronera River, while high densities of cheetahs prowl the southeastern plains. Almost uniquely, all three African jackal species occur here, alongside the spotted hyena and a host of more elusive small predators, ranging from the insectivorous aardwolf to the beautiful serval cat. All your meals and accommodation are at Shuhudia Adventure Camp.

Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater

Have breakfast at the camp, followed by a morning drive to Ngorongoro. On your arrival, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a wonderful game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater. Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world with 19.2km in diameter, 2000 feet deep, and 102sq miles in area. The rich pasture and permanent water of the crater floor support a large resident population of wildlife of up to 25,000 predominantly grazing animals. These include wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, kongoni, gazelle, warthog and eland. The swamps and forest provide additional resources for hippo, elephant, waterbuck, reedbuck, bushbuck, baboons and vervet monkeys. Meals and your accommodation are at a Bougainvillea Safari Lodge.
