Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve

You'll start your tour by departing from Nairobi and traveling to Samburu National Reserve(about 5 hours on the road)
Upon arrival at the reserve, you'll check into your chosen lodge or camp. These accommodations offer comfortable amenities and often blend into the natural surroundings.
After settling in and having lunch, you'll embark on a late afternoon game drive. This is an opportunity to spot a variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, and various species of antelope. Samburu is also known for its unique wildlife such as the Grevy's zebra, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk.
Enjoy a delicious dinner at the lodge/camp and relax, soaking in the peaceful ambiance of the African wilderness.

You will rise early for an exhilarating morning game drive. Wildlife is most active during the cooler hours of the day, and you might witness predators on the hunt or other remarkable animal behaviors.
Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast. Take some time to relax, rest, or simply enjoy the natural surroundings.
Ewaso Ng'iro River Visit: In the mid-morning or early afternoon, you might visit the Ewaso Ng'iro River, a vital water source for both wildlife and local communities. Here, you can observe animals coming to drink and interact.
Another game drive in the afternoon gives you another chance to spot wildlife you might have missed earlier. Samburu's landscape includes riverside forests, savannah, and rugged hills, creating diverse habitats for various animals.

Cultural Embrace and Game Drives

Wake up for an early morning game drive.
After breakfast, you may visit a Samburu village, stepping into a world far removed from your own. The Samburu people welcome you with their distinctive adornments and warm hospitality. You learn about their daily lives, from herding cattle to crafting intricate beadwork.
Later on in the late afternoon after a wholesome lunch, head out back into the wilderness and continue your exploration.
in the evening head back to your lodge for supper and a good night rest.

Departure to Nairobi

On your last morning, embark on a final game drive. Capture any last-minute wildlife sightings and take in the breathtaking landscapes.
After breakfast and checking out of your lodge/camp, you'll leave Samburu National Reserve and be driven back to Nairobi where you will be dropped at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or anyplace of your choosing within the city.
