Prison Island, Stone Town & Spice Tour
Your adventure will begin with the Stone Town City Tour, a one-hour drive from your hotel that will take you around the historical and architecturally significant town of Zanzibar. This tour will introduce you to the rich history and culture of the island and includes a visit to the former slave market site, which now stands as an Anglican church.
After the Stone Town Tour, you will hop on a boat for a short ride to Prison Island, where you will explore the ruins and learn about the island's fascinating past. This island was once used as a prison for rebellious slaves and later as a quarantine station for yellow fever, and it is now a popular tourist destination.
