04h50: Pick up from your city hotel and depart for Akagera National Park.
En route, enjoy a brief stop at the Imigongo restaurant and art centre in Kayonza for a light breakfast. Upon reaching the park headquarters you will receive briefing on what you will expect to see, how to conduct yourself in the wild and park rules. 08h15: Transfer to lake Ihema for guided 1 hour boatride that takes place at 09h00. Embark on a captivating boat ride on Lake Ihema, spotting diverse wildlife such as shoebill storks, African Fish Eagles, and hippos.
Once done, return to shore and join your driver guide. Continue with a thrilling mid-morning game drive, immersing yourself in the stunning landscapes and encountering majestic wildlife. Lunch will be at the Lake Mihindi restaurant. In the afternoon, enjoy another guided game drive, discovering more of the park's wonders. Later, transfer to your lodge before sunset. Check in assistance. Savor a delightful dinner, and spend a peaceful overnight stay.
