2 travelers on Start dateZanzibar - Ngorongoro Crater
In the morning, you'll take a flight from Zanzibar to Arusha where you'll be met and driven to the Ngorongoro Crater. The drive is approximately 2 hours. Often hailed as the 8th Natural Wonder of the World, the Ngorongoro Crater is the planet's largest unbroken crater.
Around 2 million years ago, the Ngorongoro Volcano erupted, causing its walls to collapse. This event led to the formation of a natural enclosure with towering 600-meter walls. Presently, spanning over 19 kilometers in width, the Ngorongoro Crater features expansive areas of acacia forest, swamps bustling with hippos, and open grasslands.
Amidst this vibrant ecosystem, the Maasai people tend to their cattle, coexisting with buffalo and wildebeest. Your lunch will be enjoyed within the crater, and as the day draws to a close, you'll be guided to your dinner and overnight accommodation.

Following breakfast, embark on a journey to Tarangire National Park for an enthralling game drive. Covering an expansive 3,000 square kilometers, Tarangire is renowned for its abundant elephant population and iconic baobab trees.
The park derives its name from the meandering Tarangire River that traverses its expanse. Particularly remarkable during the dry season (June - November), Tarangire showcases wildlife concentrations akin to those in the Serengeti.
With its diverse habitats and the permanent water source of the Tarangire River, the park boasts a population of over 2,000 elephants and hosts 500 bird species. You'll enjoy lunch within the park before returning to Arusha, and from there, proceed to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back to Zanzibar.
