Day 1

Windhoek to Spitzkoppe Mountain Area

Upon your arrival, you will be met and greeted by one of the representatives of our company, People’s Tours and Safaris, to welcome you to Namibia - "Land of the Brave". Before you start off with your 8-day camping guided safari, you will be briefed in short.

You drive via Windhoek and stop to purchase some of your supplies for your camping safari. Here, you officially start off with your safari in your private vehicle with your guide and hit the road toward Spitzkoppe for your first overnight stop. You arrive at Spitzkoppe in the mid-afternoon and set up your camp. You will then be off on a hiking activity with the local guide based at the camp. After your first activity, you return to your camp and start preparing your dinner on an open fire. You freshen up for dinner and the rest of the night is at leisure.

Day 2

Spitzkoppe Mountain Area to Cape Cross Seal Colony

After a scrumptious breakfast which you prepare on an open fire, you pack up your camp. You still have time to take nice pictures of the rock mountains before you continue with your safari. At Henties Bay, you will have a quick stop to top up your supplies and proceed to Cape Cross. En route, you visit the seal colony. You arrive at Cape Cross Lodge Campsite in the mid-afternoon and set up your camp. You can relax at the beach and return to prepare dinner on the open fire with your guide. The rest of the day is at leisure.

This morning, you wake up with the fresh breeze from the ocean and start preparing a delicious breakfast on an open fire. After breakfast, you pack up your camp and continue with your safari to Brandberg. As you continue with your safari to the north and west into the diverse Damaraland, appreciate the marvelous scenery of the area. You pass Namibia’s highest mountain, the Brandberg, which peaks at 2,573m above sea level. Take time to view the game and absorb the vastness of the scenery along the way. You will enjoy the spectacular landscape of Damaraland and the stunning views.

Day 4

Brandberg to Kamanjab (Himba Village)

Brandberg to Kamanjab (Himba Village)

After breakfast, you pack up your camp and continue to the Kamanjab area. You arrive mid-afternoon at Oppi Koppi Campsite and set up your camp. The afternoon is spent visiting Himba Village. You return to the camp and start to prepare your dinner on an open fire. You freshen up and the rest of your night can be spent at your leisure whilst you are watching the stars.

Day 5

Kamanjab to Etosha National Park

Kamanjab to Etosha National Park

After breakfast, you pack up your camp and hit the road to Etosha National Park with an en route lunch. You will arrive at Okaukuejo Resort which is situated in the southern part of Etosha National Park. After setting up your camp, you will spend the afternoon on a game-viewing drive. You will visit some famous waterholes where you can spot the animals gathering. If you are lucky, you might also spot the predators.

You return to the camp just before sunset since they close the camp gate at that time. You will freshen up whilst your guide prepares your dinner on the open campfire. After dinner, you can watch the game coming and going at the camp's floodlit waterhole. The rest of the night is at your leisure.

Day 6

Etosha National Park

Etosha National Park

After breakfast, the day is spent on full-day game viewing within the Central section of the park from your private safari vehicle. The park gates open at sunrise, and after having an early scrumptious breakfast, you will aim to be on your way as the sun rises. The early morning is usually a productive time for game viewing since many predators are active at this time. If you are lucky, you may spot a hunt or see them with their catch of the day. You will continue with your game-viewing drive with an en route lunch. Keep a sharp lookout for game as you drive back to Okaukuejo.

You arrive back at the resort just before sunset and in time for the best hour of the day at Okaukuejo waterhole. Your guide will start preparing dinner on the open campfire whilst you are freshening up. After dinner, you can spend your time watching the game coming and going at the floodlit waterhole. The rest of the night can be spent at your leisure.

Day 7

Today, you hit the road to Waterberg Plateau Park with an en route lunch. Arrive at the Waterberg Rest Camp in the mid-afternoon. You will set up your camp and be off with the local guide on the afternoon game drive. Your guide will remain at the camp and prepare your dinner on the open campfire. You return and freshen up for your dinner whereafter you can spend time at the campfire or at leisure.

After breakfast, you pack up your camp and hit the road back to Windhoek. En route, you will visit Okahandja Craft Market for last-minute shopping. You arrive in Windhoek at 14h00. Your guide will drop you off at your own arranged accommodation. This is the end of your safari.
