Today, the driver-guide will pick you up from Arusha and hold a briefing before we depart for the entrance gate of Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, you will patiently wait for the registration formalities and the permits to be issued. Once the permits are sorted, you will enter the park for the game drive.

Tarangire National Park is a lovely, quiet park in northern Tanzania. It is famous for the abundance of age-old baobabs and big families of elephants gathering in the vicinity of the main water source – the Tarangire River. Besides elephant calves and their parents, Tarangire is home to zebras, giraffes, hyenas, warthogs, buffalos and many other predators and ungulates. The park is also a treat for bird enthusiasts. Late afternoon, we drive to your reserved lodge in Karatu for evening leisure, dinner and overnight.

Get up early on day 2 of your Big 5 safari, sit back, and enjoy the journey. The road winds through the crater forest and ends at your final destination - the striking Ngorongoro Crater. The mix of forests, valleys, savannahs, craters, lakes and swamps is home to a wide range of animals. This collapsed volcano is one of Tanzania’s most visited destinations, and it’s certainly not hard to see why.

One of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders, the Ngorongoro Crater is home to the highest concentration of wildlife in Africa. It is brimming with elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos and even the rare black rhino. Lunch is to be enjoyed at the picnic site. In the late afternoon, we drive to Serengeti National Park. It is Africa’s most famous park due to the largest concentration of game on the continent. Enjoy a game drive en route to the camp for evening leisure, dinner and overnight.

The captivating landscapes of the Serengeti National Park vary from savannahs with acacia trees and vast grasslands to rising mountains lakes and swamps. Each area is unique and has its own atmosphere. With the help of your private driver-guide, you can choose your schedule.

After breakfast, collect your picnic lunch box and then take a pleasant drive back to Arusha city. You will enjoy a morning game drive en-route in Serengeti. We'll drive via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area through Karatu town. We will drop you off at Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your further travel plans.
