Day 1

You’ll be picked up from your hotel at 8:00 a.m. and then proceed to the Mount Kenya region, where you’ll spend the afternoon at Sweetwaters Game Ranch. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the tented camp here. Sweetwaters is the only rehabilitation sanctuary in Kenya for abused chimpanzees. Two groups live here in an environment that is as close to their natural habitat as possible. The ranch is also a dedicated black rhino breeding area. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the Sweetwaters Serena Camp. The meal plan includes lunch and dinner.

Day 2

Ol Pejeta - Lake Nakuru National Park

You will leave Ol Pejeta in the morning and drive along the floor of the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch. The park is Kenya’s first rhino sanctuary and features one of the largest concentrations of black rhinoceros in the world, as well as a large population of white rhinos. Also of interest is an area fenced off as a sanctuary to protect Rothschild giraffes. Predators here include lions, leopards, and large pythons hiding in the dense woodlands—which may occasionally be seen crossing roads or dangling from trees. Other game includes Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelles, the long-eared leaf-nosed bats, Colobus monkeys, rock hyrax, hippos, waterbucks, impalas, striped hyenas, bat-eared foxes, wildcats, reedbucks, and golden cats. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the Sarova Lion Hill game Lodge.

You will have an early breakfast and then enjoy a game drive as you exit the park. You’ll drive via the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara in time for lunch at the Mara Serena Safari Lodge. After the game drive that lasts until dusk, you’ll return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay at Mara Serena Safari Lodge.

Explore the Great Masai Mara National Reserve

The whole day will be spent exploring the park in search of the Big Five. An optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at $450 USD per person. The Mara offers wildlife in variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe—over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, buffalos, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, leopards, and many kinds of antelopes, and elephants. It is here that the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the annual migration of millions of wildebeests and zebras from the Serengeti in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna: lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures. An optional visit to a local Maasai village ($35 USD) can also be arranged. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at Mara Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 5

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Naivasha—the highest and purest of the Great Rift Valley lakes. This area is famous for its birdlife. It is a breeding ground for pelicans, fish eagles, cormorants, and many more. You will also find other animals such as hippos, zebras, antelopes, and Colobus monkeys. In the afternoon, you’ll take a boat ride along Lake Naivasha to Crescent Island which is an optional activity at an extra cost, where you will be doing a nature walk next to zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, waterbucks, antelopes, and many types of birds. You might also see zebras and giraffes close to the lakeshore. Your dinner and your overnight stay will be at the Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort.

After an early breakfast, you’ll depart for Amboseli National Park, which is truly classic Africa. Set in rolling savannah scenery, it is dwarfed by the presence of the pink-tinged, snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, which is the highest free-standing volcanic mountain in the world and topped by one-fifth of all the ice in Africa. Against this magnificent backdrop, vast herds of elephants are accompanied by a kaleidoscope of other fabulous animals, including lions, buffalos, cheetahs, giraffes, baboons, gazelles, hippos, and wildebeests. You’ll arrive at your preferred choice of accommodation in time for check-in and some delicious lunch. The afternoon will be spent on a game drive in search of the Big Five and other animals. Day 8

After early morning game drives, you will return to your lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, you'll leave Amboseli for Tsavo West. The drive will be less than 3 hours to Tsavo West. You'll see the game en route. From the sight, fifty million gallons of crystal clear water flow from the under-parched lava rock that is the Mzima Springs to the Shetani lava flow. You will have a visit to Mzima Springs where you can see hippos and fish in crystalline clear water. There are possibilities of seeing crocodiles and monkeys. Later, you will proceed to check in at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge for lunch. Later in the afternoon, you will go for more game drives. Tsavo West offers some of the most magnificent game viewing in the world and attractions include elephants, rhinos, hippos, lions, cheetahs, leopards, and buffalos. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at your hotel Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge.

You will have an early morning game drive then drive back to your lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, you'll check out with a short game drive en route to Tsavo East National Park, a drive of 2 hours. The park forms the largest protected area in Kenya and is home to most of the larger mammals, vast herds of dust–red elephants, rhinos, buffalos, lions, leopards, pods of hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks, lesser kudus, gerenuks, and the prolific birdlife features 500 recorded species. It's also home to the famous man-eating lions. You'll arrive with a game en route to Ashnil Aruba Lodge then check in and have lunch. Later in the afternoon, you'll have another game drive at the park. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Satao Camp.
