Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park - Appx 175 kms 3hrs drive

You will depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, with brief stops at the scenic Great Rift Valley escarpment. The Great Rift Valley stretches from the Beqaa Valley in Lebanon which is in Asia to Mozambique in Southeast Africa. It’s a series of contiguous geographic trenches, approximately 6,800 kilometers (4,300 miles) in total length, and much of it is found in Kenya, where it has literally cut the country in two. The valley contains some of the world’s finest lakes, mountains, and plains.

Lake Nakuru is one of the Rift Valley soda lakes at an elevation of 1,754 m (5,755 ft.) above sea level. The park is ideal for bird watching and wildlife viewing. It’s also a sanctuary for the black and white rhinos. The lake's abundance of blue-green algae used to attract a vast quantity of flamingos that famously lined the shore. You'll arrive in good time for lunch. Later, you'll proceed for an afternoon game-viewing drive. At sunset, you'll return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
