Day 1

At 7.00 a.m. you will be picked up from your Nairobi hotel or airport by our English-speaking guide, who will brief you on the exciting safari you are about to embark on. You will depart for Amboseli National Park which is approximately 5 hours from Nairobi. You will arrive at Oltukai Lodge Amboseli in time for check-in and lunch. After lunch, you will relax for a bit as you enjoy the lodge's facilities then head for an afternoon game drive till evening.

Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 2

Full-Day Amboseli National Park

Full-Day Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, you will proceed for a full-day game drive with a packed lunch or you can choose to go for a morning game drive and return to the camp for lunch. Then, you will head out for an afternoon game drive, depending on your preferences. The itinerary is flexible and the driver guide will be readily available to discuss the day's schedule with you.

Amboseli National Park is home to a large concentration of wildlife estimated to be 80 different species including African elephants, African buffalos, impalas, lions, zebras, and wildebeests among other African animals. Among the animals, the park is more famous for habiting a large population of elephants. The park is also home to over 400 species of birds.

Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 3

Amboseli to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Amboseli to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

At 6:00 a.m., you will have breakfast at your hotel and then head to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. You will drive through the slopes of Mount Kenya, cross the equator to Sweetwater's Game Sanctuary, and arrive at Sweetwater's private ranch and rhino sanctuary. You'll arrive in Sweetwater's shortly afternoon and check into your hotel, have a hot lunch, and then have some time to rest.

At 3:30 pm, depart for the afternoon game drive in search of rhinos both white and Black rhinos and other wildlife. You will tour Sweetwater's Chimpanzee Sanctuary is the only one of its kind in Kenya. Here visitors can enjoy the unique opportunity of observing the orphaned chimps that vary in age from 2-15 yrs.

You will enjoy the sights and sounds of Man's closest relative. It is also home to the last two of the Northern white Rhinos that remain in the world. After the game drive, you will head back to the hotel and freshen up to enjoy a freshly prepared dinner.

Your overnight stay will be at your hotel.

Day 4

At 6:00 a.m., you will have breakfast and check out of the hotel. You will then drive to Samburu Game Reserve, arriving at Samburu Sarova Shaba Game Lodge in time for lunch, and then have time to relax as you enjoy the lodge's amenities. At 4:00 p.m., you will depart for an afternoon game drive.

Here, you will be in search of the elusive leopards and other wildlife, the highlight here is the special Samburu six. These are the baisa oryx, gerenuk, defassa waterbucks, reticulated giraffes, grevy zebras, and Somali ostriches. At 6.30 p.m., you will return to the lodge, freshen up, and enjoy a freshly prepared dinner. Your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 5

Samburu is located in a semi-arid area and is quite hot hence most of the animals hide in the shade during the day to escape the hot sun and come out in the early mornings or evening. We therefore recommend you take advantage of the morning and afternoon game drives.

At 6:00 a.m. you will proceed for a morning game drive, then back to the lodge for breakfast. You will relax from morning to mid-afternoon as you take a dip in the lodge's pool. At 4:00 p.m., you will depart for an afternoon game drive. Afterward, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6

Samburu to Lake Naivasha

Samburu to Lake Naivasha

You will have breakfast, then head to Lake Naivasha arriving in time for lunch at Sawela Lodges. After lunch, you will proceed for a boat ride on the lake.

Lake Naivasha is a beautiful lake full of birds and hippos. A boat ride on the lake is highly recommended. You will most likely spot hippos, herons, pelicans, and dozens of other birds. You will then return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7

Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, you will depart for Nakuru, arriving in time for lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge. After lunch, you will depart for the Lake Nakuru National Park for your afternoon game drive. You will have the game drive across the pink lake often referred to as so due to its great masses of flamingos not forgetting the famous white rhino and black rhino found in this park. In addition to the bird life for which Nakuru is so well known there are many different wildlife species in the park including lions, leopards, black rhinos, white rhinos, buffalos, Rothschild's giraffes, zebras, impalas, and waterbucks.

After the game drive, you will be taken back to the lodge. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve

Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you will depart to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve and arrive in time for check-in and a delicious buffet lunch. Masai Mara National Reserve is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. Its animals include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, and hippos.

Wildebeests traverse their plains during their annual migration. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills and is crossed by the Mara and Talek Rivers. The area nearby is dotted with villages (enkangs) of the Maasai people.

After lunch, you will relax a bit at the lodge and enjoy its amenities, and then proceed for a game drive at 4:00 p.m. You will get to see different wildlife species including the Big Five with the help of an experienced guide who will make your safari memorable. Your dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Full-Day Masai Mara National Reserve

Today's itinerary is flexible and you can discuss with your guide and plan for the day’s schedule. You can either have a relaxed breakfast or depart for a full-day game drive at around 7:30 a.m. with a picnic lunch. This will give you a chance to visit the Mara River where the migration happens during its time. Also, you'll have better chances to view wildlife all day and return to the lodge/camp late in the afternoon.
Or:
At 6:00 a.m., you will have an early morning game drive. Later, you will return to your accommodation for breakfast and relax for the morning until mid-afternoon. Then at 4:00 p.m., you will depart on an afternoon game drive. At 6:30 p.m., you will return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

On this day early morning, you have an option to enjoy a balloon safari ride over the Masai Mara (to be paid direct).

On this day you will have breakfast, then check out of the lodge and depart for Nairobi through the breathtaking views of the Great Rift Valley. You will be dropped off at your Nairobi hotel or at the airport for your flight back home. As well as the wildlife, the park is home to the community of Maasai warriors. Their bravery is known the world over in their battles with the animals of the savanna, and they welcome you into the culture with traditional song and dance. You have a chance to witness their culture and visit a home to better know their extraordinary way of life. This visit is optional and there is an extra fee of US$30 applicable.

Optional activities on this day can be, a day city tour, a cultural experience at the Bomas of Kenya, and dinner at the Carnivore Restaurant for exotic meals (to be paid directly).
