2 travelers on Start dateNairobi to Amboseli National Park - Approx 250km (5-hour drive)
Depart for Amboseli National Park via the Nairobi-Mombasa Road. The drive is via typical African savannah country dotted with local homesteads and colorful Maasai herdsmen grazing their cattle. Arrive in time for lunch and later venture into the park for the scheduled afternoon game-viewing drive.
You will spot the wild herds of elephants up close and see why it's little wonder that the park is the best place in Africa to spot such herds. It is also home to many other species such as Cape buffalo, impala, lion, cheetah, spotted hyena, Maasai giraffe, zebra and blue wildebeest among other African animals. The birdlife is also abundant with both large and small species. If the weather permits, Amboseli National Park offers a beautiful vista of the scenic snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro which makes it a perfect site for photography. It is the tallest mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain in the world.

Amboseli National Park to Lake Naivasha - Approx 350km (7-hour drive)
Have an early breakfast and then check out and proceed to Naivasha, arriving for lunch. Time permitting, you will have a brief stop at the scenic Great Rift Valley viewpoint. The Rift Valley stretches from the Beqaa Valley in Lebanon in Asia to Mozambique in Southeast Africa. It’s a series of contiguous geographic trenches, approximately 6,800 kilometers (4,300 miles) in total length, and much of it is found in Kenya, where it has literally cut the country in two.
Lake Naivasha's shores host abundant birdlife including pelicans, cormorants, and fish-eagles. There are more animals per acre than in any other Kenyan park, hence many film companies have been to the island to film the herds of wildebeest, waterbuck, zebra, buffalo, and gazelle.
In the afternoon, go on an optional visit by boat to the hidden gem, Crescent Island Game Sanctuary, which is surrounded by water (it is actually a peninsula) at a cost of $60 per person.

Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru - Approx 80km (2-hour drive)
After breakfast, we'll depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru is one of the Rift Valley soda lakes at an elevation of 1,754 meters (5,755 feet) above sea level. The park's size is about 188 square kilometers and is ideal for bird watching and wildlife viewing. It’s also a sanctuary for black and white rhinos.
Lake Nakuru National Park also hosts the rare Rothschild’s giraffe which was introduced to the park in 1977. Luckily, these animals have become accustomed to the vegetation type in Lake Nakuru National Park and have slowly become an indigenous species of the park. The lake's abundance of blue-green algae used to attract a vast quantity of flamingos that famously lined the shore.
We will arrive in good time for lunch. Later, proceed for an afternoon game-viewing drive. Afterward, return to the booked lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
