We will pick you from the airport and transfer you to your Arusha accommodations. Someone from our office will then brief you on your upcoming safari. Arusha is well known for being equidistant between Cairo, Egypt and Cape Town, South Africa. In fact, it is estimated to be at the center of East Africa. Arusha's clock tower marks the exact central point. Depending on your arrival time, you can go on a tour of the city to explore the local Maasai market and cultural heritage sites.

Arusha - Tarangire National Park
In the morning we will pick you up from your hotel and then make our way to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is known for its endless savanna, seasonal marshes, and large elephant herds (one is as large as 4,000 at the last count). You may also spot giraffes, buffalo, lions, zebras, gnus, and different types of antelopes and gazelles. Upon your arrival at the park, your driver will open the roof of your jeep so you can see the wildlife and easily take photographs. Later you will stop at a picnic site for lunch before continuing your game drive. Since your accommodations are in the park you won’t need to rush.

After breakfast you’ll depart for Serengeti National Park via the beautiful high altitude farmlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands, you’ll arrive at the Ngorongoro Gate, where you will stop for a short briefing and pictures before you proceed to the crater viewpoint. You’ll then proceed into the heart of Africa and Serengeti National Park, which feature endless plains rolling as far as the eye can see. Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Highlands
Wake up early in the morning and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee before departing the park with a packed breakfast in hand. We want you to be able to enjoy a game drive early so you have a greater chance of seeing predators on the hunt. We will drive to the eastern area of the park searching for cheetahs, lions, and many other animals. You’ll witness a spectacular sunrise over the Serengeti and continue your game drive until the early afternoon. You can then return to your accommodations for a hot lunch or eat a picnic lunch. Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, your safari guide will drive you directly to the Ngorongoro Crater, where you will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year-round supply of water and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to a wide variety of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, elk, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big win for this scenic national park is its dense predator population, which includes lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard (which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot). We will visit Lake Magadi, a large shallow alkaline lake in the southwest corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. Large numbers of flamingos, hippos, and other waterfowl can usually be seen here. Your safari guide will drive you to the hippo pool, where you can rest and use the washroom in the late afternoon.
