Day 1

Early in the morning after your breakfast, our safari guide will pick you up from the hotel. You will embark on a journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, situated at the foothills of Mount Rwenzori in Kasese District through the Masaka–Mbarara highway. You'll stop at the equator monument for photographs. Later, you'll proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You'll check-in at your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 2

You'll wake up early, have breakfast, then start with a game view to Kasenyi plains. You are likely to see black and white Columbus monkeys, bushbucks, Uganda kobs, topi, Defassa waterbucks, and Cape buffaloes. A collection of birds like Cassin’s grey flycatcher, broad-billed roller, and black bee-eater along the banks of Lake Edward. You'll return to the lodge for lunch. Then, in the afternoon, you'll go for a launch cruise on Kazinga channel (2hrs) along Lake George-Lake Edward. You'll come eye-to-eye with gaping hippos, crocodiles, and leopards, though infrequent. Ornithologists should look out for over 550 resident species like flamingos, red chest, papyrus Gonolek, pink backed pelicans, malachite kingfishers, yellow crown, pink backed pelicans, water thick-knee, yellow-billed stork, and shoebill stock. Don’t forget your camera. You'll return to your lodge for relaxation.

Day 3

After breakfast, you'll depart from Queen Elizabeth to Kibale National Park. Kibale National Park has the highest concentration and variety of primates in East Africa with 13 species and overall 60 mammal species and so far offers the best chimpanzee tracking in Uganda. You'll dine and sleep at your lodge as you wait to meet man’s closest relative the following day.

Day 4

Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale National Park
After breakfast on day 4, you will report to the park headquarters for a briefing and proceed for chimpanzee tracking near Kanyanchu. This is a stunning activity that draws you closer to man’s closest relative, it can take you up to 6 hours. There are other primates in the area, like the L’Hoest monkey, baboons, white and black colobus monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabey, red colobus, blue monkeys, and pottos. Other animals include forest elephants, unique from the common type, giant forest hogs, and a striking tree species.
You'll enjoy lunch and later take a guided nature walk to the Bigodi Swamp sanctuary, a good site for birders. The Great Blue Turaco and Papyrus Gonolek can easily be marked among the other bird 137 species. There is also an array of butterfly species that can be encountered during your chimpanzee experience. You'll retire and return for dinner and an overnight stay as above.

Day 5

On the last day of the 5 days Queen and Kibale safari, you will enjoy breakfast and transfer back to Kampala with lunch en-route in Mityana town. You'll be dropped off at Entebbe Airport.
