Today, we'll embark on an early morning drive from our accommodation in Moshi or Arusha to Tarangire National Park. Our game drive will extend into the afternoon, where we'll pause for a picnic lunch. Following lunch, we'll continue our exploration until theevening. Exiting the park, we'll head to our campsite or lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Tarangire National Park is renowned as the playground of elephants, but it's also home to buffalo, lions, wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles during the dry season. The shores of Lake Barungi attract various mammals and numerous bird species, including kingfishers, hoopoes, and white-bellied birds. Tarangire is characterized by rolling savannah, acacia woodlands, and iconic baobab trees.

Day 3

Today, you'll have the entire day to immerse yourself in the wonders of Serengeti Park, where the dramatic spectacle of the great wildebeest migration unfolds. The park is renowned as the habitat of the Big Five, offering you the opportunity to explore its vast landscapes.

You'll set out on a drive to the western or northern part of the park, where you'll witness the great wildebeest migration, a natural spectacle that unfolds from July to October. Your experienced safari guide will provide you with detailed explanations about this incredible phenomenon. You'll have the chance to observe the wildebeests and zebras as they navigate the Mara River, facing the perilous attacks of crocodiles. It's a mesmerizing drama of survival in nature, which occurs from July to October.

During the day, you'll enjoy your lunch with a stunning view of the animals and the Serengeti landscape. Later, you'll return to your accommodation.

Day 4

Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Today's adventure begins in the central Serengeti, where you'll have the opportunity to witness diverse wildlife. Lunch will be served within the park, allowing you to enjoy a meal surrounded by the natural beauty of the Serengeti.

Afterward, you'll continue your journey to the Ngorongoro Crater, a unique and ecologically diverse area. This caldera is home to a wide range of wildlife, including lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, elands, wild dogs, gazelles, crocodiles, giraffes, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, and various antelope species. The crater also attracts migrant birds from Eurasia and is home to African birds like vultures, storks, and flamingos. The lush greenery contrasts with desert plants, creating a unique and vibrant ecosystem.

The species you encounter will depend on the time of year and the movements of the herds. In the afternoon, you'll ascend to the rim of the crater, where you'll spend the night.

Day 5

After breakfast, you'll descend more than 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater to observe the diverse wildlife that inhabits this unique ecosystem. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area boasts a rich and thriving population of animals, thanks to a year-round supply of water and abundant vegetation. Here, you'll encounter herds of wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, eland, warthogs, hippos, and giant African elephants.

One of the main attractions of this picturesque national park is its dense predator population, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, which may require a keen eye to spot amidst the lush surroundings.

In the late afternoon, you'll make your way back to Arusha.
