Visit Ngorongoro Crater
We will wake up early in the morning and after breakfast, we will drive into the Ngorongoro crater. The Ngorongoro crater has a diameter of about 20 kilometers and a 600-meter-high crater wall. The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact crater in the world. The crater life is estimated at 30,000 larger mammals. In the center of the crater is a salt lake. This is one of the most densely populated wildlife areas in the world. It is a unique area where animals and humans as the authentic Maasai live together. From the edge of the crater, you look out over the impressive crater and its wonderful inhabitants. In the afternoon we'll drive to the lodge near Lake Natron where we arrive before dinner time.

Mto wa Mbu to Lake Natron
The ride will take you over bumpy paths, through remote Maasai areas with stunning views of the mountain of God Ol Doinyo Lengai.
The drive takes around 4-5 hours in total (you’ll stop for lunch) and once you arrive at the entrance gate of the Lake Natron area, a local Maasai guide will escort you to your accommodation. You’ll check in and have time to freshen up, after which you’ll head to the lake.
Accompanied by your local guide, you’ll explore the lake on foot. The ground is quite slippery and muddy. It’s very shallow for quite some time though, so it’s up to you to see how far you want to go to get close to the flamingos. We’ll stay until sunset. After the visit, you’ll return to your accommodation, where dinner will be served.
