Day 1

Nairobi - Lake Nakuru National Park

Nairobi - Lake Nakuru National Park

You will be picked up in the morning from the airport or your hotel and depart from Nairobi. Proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park with an en-route game drive to the lodge. Upon arrival at the lodge, you will check in, enjoy a scrumptious lunch and have a short rest before going for your afternoon game drive in the park.

The park is home to warthog, waterbuck, buffalo, reedbuck, and the occasional leopard. White and black rhinos were introduced to the park some years ago and you will find white rhinos at the southern end. The park has also retained its reputation as a birder's delight with many species of birds found here.

Day 2

After breakfast, you will depart from Nakuru and head to Masai Mara, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, enjoy some free time until 16h00 when you will start your first game drive. The reserve is regarded as the most magnificent natural theatre in the world. Set in the heart of Africa's great plains, the Masai Mara boasts 1,672 square kilometers of unspoiled wilderness. It is home to the highest concentration of animals and birds anywhere on the continent.

Day 3

Maasai Mara National Reserve

A very early morning game drive in the Masai Mara is the ideal time to see the game as temperatures are cooler. Hopefully, lion, cheetah, and leopard will be roaming the vast grasslands in search of prey. Return to the lodge for breakfast. You can spend the rest of the morning at leisure or partake in optional activities like a visit to a Maasai village to see their nomadic life (extra cost). After lunch at the lodge, there is a chance to relax by the swimming pool before an evening game drive. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4

Maasai Mara-Lake Naivasha

Leave from the Masai Mara with an en route game drive and head to Lake Naivasha to arrive in good time for lunch. Spend the afternoon relaxing or decide to go on an activity. You can visit Hell's Gate National Reserve at USD 45 per person. It is the only reserve in Kenya where you can enjoy game viewing on a bicycle. You can also opt for a boat ride at USD 30 per person or a visit to Crescent Island at USD 40 per person.

Day 5

After breakfast, you will begin your safari by driving south toward Amboseli National Park with lunch en route. In the heart of the park lies an amazing swamp fed by underground springs from the melting snows of Mount Kilimanjaro. This attracts elephants and hippos in abundance. Amboseli is justly famous for its big game, particularly its elephants, which are the most studied in the world. Upon arrival in Amboseli, you will have an en route game drive to your lodge and then spend the afternoon at leisure before heading out for an evening game drive. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 6

On this day, you will have an early morning drive which gives you the best chance of viewing Mount Kilimanjaro, as the clouds tend to build up as the day progresses. Return to the lodge for breakfast and then partake in some leisure time before lunch. You will go on an afternoon game drive until the late evening before returning to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
