After an early breakfast, you'll set off for Tarangire National Park, named after the Tarangire River that meanders through it. This river, often referred to as the 'river of warthogs,' serves as the sole water source for wildlife in the region during the dry season.
The park features diverse vegetation, including dense areas with elephant grass, acacia woodlands, and lush groundwater forests.
Tarangire is renowned for its elephant families, frequently spotted gathering near the river. Alongside them, you may also encounter giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests. These animals draw the attention of various predators, including lions and leopards. Notably, Tarangire boasts more breeding bird species than any other place on Earth.

However, what truly distinguishes the Serengeti is the awe-inspiring annual migration. Each October and November, more than a million wildebeest and approximately 200,000 zebras journey south from the northern hills to the southern plains in pursuit of the short rains. This ancient instinct to migrate is so powerful that no drought, ravine, or crocodile-filled river can deter them.
