Day 1

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater

In the morning, you'll catch a flight from Zanzibar to Arusha, where you'll be warmly greeted and driven to the Ngorongoro Crater, a journey of approximately 2 hours. Often acclaimed as the eighth Natural Wonder of the World, the Ngorongoro Crater stands as the world's largest unbroken crater.

Around 2 million years ago, a volcanic eruption reshaped the Ngorongoro landscape, resulting in the formation of this remarkable natural enclosure, enclosed by towering 600-meter walls. Today, the Ngorongoro Crater spans over 19 kilometers in width and showcases expansive areas of acacia forest, lively swamps teeming with hippos, and sprawling grasslands.

Within this thriving ecosystem, you'll witness the Maasai people tending to their cattle while peacefully coexisting with buffalo and wildebeest. Lunch will be a delightful experience within the crater, and as the day comes to a close, you'll be guided to your dinner and overnight accommodations.

Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will embark on a captivating journey to Tarangire National Park for an exciting game drive. Spanning an impressive 3,000 square kilometers, Tarangire is famous for its abundant elephant population and iconic baobab trees.

The park takes its name from the winding Tarangire River that flows through its terrain. It truly shines during the dry season (June - November), offering wildlife concentrations reminiscent of the Serengeti.

With its diverse ecosystems and the constant water source of the Tarangire River, the park is home to over 2,000 elephants and hosts an impressive array of 500 bird species. Lunch will be savored within the park before your return journey to Arusha. From there, you'll continue to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back to Zanzibar.
