Transfer from Arusha to Tarangire National Park which will take a 2-hour drive. The place is home to giant baobab trees, bush savannah and seasonal marshes adding to the wonder of this nature reserve. The Tarangire National Park is considered as one of the best places to view elephants up close. The park is also home to buffaloes, zebras and wildebeests which are always closely followed by a range of predators such as lions. Leopards are seen now and then but cheetahs are rarely spotted. This is the largest and most popular park in Africa. The endless plains of the Serengeti are next on your list and where the magic continues. It is the heart of a vast ecosystem, whose species-rich animal world is unique in the world. Annually, the great migration involves over 1.4 million gnus, almost 300,000 Thomson's gazelles, about 200,000 zebras and several thousand topi's during the rainy seasons to the areas with the greener and lush meadows. With about 3 million larger mammals, the Serengeti is the national park with the richest wildlife worldwide. Around two-thirds make up the above-mentioned animal species. Furthermore, the park is home to many other animal species, such as giraffe, buffalo, hyena, elephant or crocodile. Particularly large is the population of feline predators, about 3000 lions, a good 300 cheetahs and an estimated 400-700 leopards have their hunting ground here. It also has an amazing place for a great view of sunrise and sunset.

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park

Wake up early in the morning, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and then leave with parked breakfast to make sure you will not stay hungry so that you can enjoy a game drive while you are comfortable. Here you will have a great chance to see hunting because predators are more active during the night and early morning and they hunt a lot at that time. You are drive will drive out of central Serengeti to eastern looking for cheetahs, lions on the rock and many other animals ( remember we drive to the controlled area out of a crowd of another safari jeep), for a game drive to witness the spectacular sunrise over the Serengeti. The game drive will continue until the early afternoon. Either return to your accommodation for a hot lunch or take a packed lunch with you. Then return through the Serengeti, park all your stuff and drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a game drive en route. Later on, drive to your accommodation at Karatu.

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater

On this day, you will descend over 600m into the crater to view wildlife for a half-day safari tour. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can be seen here. After lunch, we will start ascending from the crater and head to Arusha town.
