Mkomazi National Park
You'll start your day early in the morning from Moshi to Mkomazi National Park to explore the wildlife and nature found here. Mount Kilimanjaro to the northwest and the south, the Pare and Usambara Mountains, and to the north Kenya’s vast Tsavo National Park make common ground for migratory herds of elephants, oryx, and zebras during the wet season. Together with Tsavo, it forms one of the largest and most important protected ecosystems on earth. Mkomazi National Park stands out from all other national parks as it has a black rhinoceros sanctuary and also a captive-breeding program for the African wild dog. Seeing these two unique endangered species is a once-in-a-million adventure together with other species such as giraffes, elands, hartebeest, zebras, buffalos, elephants, and the long-necked gerenuks. You'll enjoy a game drive until later afternoon then drive back to Moshi to your accommodation.

Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, your safari guide will drive you directly to Ngorongoro Crater. You will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year-round supply of water and fodder the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to a wide variety of animals including herds of wildebeest, zebras, buffalos, elks, warthogs, hippos, and giant African elephants. Another big drawcard for this scenic national park is its dense population of predators which includes lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. You will visit Lake Magadi, a large shallow alkaline lake in the southwest corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. Large numbers of flamingos, hippos, and other waterfowl can usually be seen here. Late afternoon, you will transfer to Arusha to the airport for your evening flight.
