1-Day Hiking Marangu Route

Enjoy a scenic day hike from Arusha to the Marangu Route on Mount Kilimanjaro. After an early morning pickup, you’ll drive to the Marangu Gate (2–2.5 hours). At the gate, you’ll meet your guide and complete registration. The hike takes you through lush rainforest to Mandara Hut (2,700 meters), offering stunning views of the mountain’s diverse ecosystems. After a break, you'll descend back to the gate, with a total hike duration of 5–6 hours. Upon completion, you’ll be transferred back to Arusha in the late afternoon. This moderate hike is suitable for those with a reasonable fitness level and is ideal for experiencing Kilimanjaro’s beauty in a short time. Remember to bring comfortable shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, a water bottle, and snacks.
