4-Day Mikumi National Park & Nyerere National Park

Dar es Salaam to Mikumi

In the morning, you’ll be picked up from the hotel or airport and driven to Mikumi National Park. Enjoy the 5 to 6-hour drive with an en-route lunch at a restaurant. Take a short break then proceed with the drive, arriving late in the afternoon. Check in at the lodge, then leave for the Maasai culture exhibition. Return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Mikumi National Park

After breakfast, leave for a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park with a packed lunch. In the evening, return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

In Mikumi National Park, you will see a wide variety of bird species, zebras, hippos, hartebeests, wildebeests, impalas, warthogs, eland, antelopes, giraffes, buffalos, and elephants.

Mikumi National Park to Nyerere National Park

After breakfast, you head out with your lunch box and drive for 6 hours to Nyerere National Park. You will arrive in the late afternoon or early evening then leave for an evening boat ride on the Rufiji River. Return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Nyerere National Park

After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive inside the national park with your packed lunch. There are chances of great animal sightings including all the great favourites like lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra, and other major species like wild dog and birds. You’ll enjoy your lunch in the afternoon, and after a short break, proceed with the game drive.

At around 4 pm, proceed on your flight to Zanzibar.
