Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Depart from Nairobi at 7 a.m. after a delightful breakfast and drive south across the Athi Plains, home of the Maasai, and on to Amboseli. Amboseli is renowned for its large herds of wild African elephants as well as vast herds of wildebeests and many other animals, including giraffes, lions, monkeys, zebras, hyenas, and antelopes. Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak, provides a beautiful backdrop.

We arrive early mid-day and freshen up, followed by lunch and a short rest. Later, you explore the Amboseli plains on an afternoon game drive. Return for dinner and overnight at your camp.

Amboseli National Park to Nairobi

You will wake up early for your morning game drive, the best time to see Mount Kilimanjaro. The early morning light reveals the mountain, turned into a dark hue of purple and its snow into an ethereal pink. The sight of the mountain high above herds of elephants crossing the Amboseli plains is a timeless African image.

You head back to the lodge for breakfast and then pack your bags for your return to Nairobi.
