Our driver and office representative will meet you at the airport in Nairobi. After customs procedures and briefing, transfer to your hotel for check in. Afternoon visit to the Giraffe Center. On the outskirts of Nairobi city, Nairobi National Park has fantastic wildlife and a backdrop of high-rise buildings. The park’s proximity to a large urban center is unique in Africa. Most big safari animals are present (except elephants), and sightings of big cats can be excellent. There is a small walk at the entrance leading through indigenous forest and several wildlife enclosures. Overnight at hotel.

Masai Mara

After breakfast, we depart Naivasha and drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive at your camp for check-in and later in the afternoon, depart for your first game drive in the Masai Mara. This is the best time of day to view nocturnal hunters who prepare for their nightly expeditions. Watering holes are also usually busy just before sunset as animals such as hippos return to their resting spots while others congregate to drink before retiring for the night. Later in the evening, return to your budget camp for dinner and overnight.

Masai Mara

After breakfast, we'll have a full-day game drive with packed lunch provided. The reserve is well known for its black-maned lions, as well as its abundant resident wildlife. Its one of the few places where it's possible to see the Big Five during a morning game drive. Many of the cheetahs are so tame that they seek shelter from the hot sun under one's vehicle and several even climb onto the roof to get a better view of prospective prey. For the bird enthusiast, almost 500 species have been recorded: among these 16 species of eagle, plus many hawks and falcons, 6 species of vultures, 8 species of storks 4 of bustard (including the kori bustard, the world's heaviest flying bird), and 9 species of sunbirds.
