6-Day Gorillas, Chimps and Wildlife

Transfer to kibale forest national park

On this day you shall get picked up from Entebbe and transferred to kibale forest national park. The drive from Entebbe to the forest is approximately 4 hours. Along the way you shall be able to enjoy Uganda's greenery and nature. On arrival you shall check in have your lunch then later go for the bigodi swap and community walk. Here you get to do some birding and primates watching in the bigodi swamp area. You also get to visit the local community where you shall get involved in a few activities like local beer making, visit the local medicine man, among others.

Chimpanzee treking

After our early morning breakfast we shall check out of the lodge since we wont be returning, we shall head for the chimp trek headquarters. Here we shall get briefed and later grouped and head into the forest for the days activity which is the chimp trek. This activity usually last about 4 hours from start till finish. On return we shall transfer to queen Elizabeth national park check into our lodge and later have a sundowner boat ride on the kazinga channel.

Game drive and transfer o bwindi

On this day after breakfast we shall have an early morning game drive. During this drive we shall be able to see a variety f wildlife ranging from buffaloes, elephants, kobs, hippos, waterbucks, a variety of bird species and if lucky the big cats which are the leopards and lions. After the drive we shall later transfer to bwindi forest national park.

Gorilla trekking

After breakfasts we shall head out to the briefing point. Here shall get entertained by a local women's dance group before we are briefed and later grouped in groups of 8 per group. After we shall start the trek. The trek could last from about 3 hours to full day depending on the location of the gorillas. After the trek we shall return to the lodge an relax for the rest of the day.

Transfer to lake mburo national park

On this day awe shall transfer to lake mburo national park. Lake mburo national park is the smallest savanna park we have in Uganda. Its unique in its own with plenty of wildlife to see ranging from zebras, giraffes, elands, impalas, buffaloes, hippos just to mention a few. On arrival we shall check into the lodge and later either have an after game drive, cycling in the park or a guided park walk amongst animals.

Transfer to entebbe

This being the last day of the trip we shall have an optional morning game drive and later proceed to Entebbe airport. However along the way we shall have a brief stop over at the equator for some picture moments and souvenir shopping if interested.
