2 travelers on Start dateEarly in the morning you will be picked by your guide and drive to Akagera National Park, Stop en route at Imigongo art centre and restaurant for breakfast.
You will also carry a full picnic hamper and selection of drinks that you will have at the park designated eating area.
08h00: Arrive at the park headquarters for tour formalities and briefing.
Immediately set off for the Lake Ihema jetty.
At 09h00: Depart for a guided boat ride. Lining the lakes are some of the continent’s densest concentrations of water birds, while the connecting marshes are the haunt of the endangered and exquisite papyrus gonolek,
and the bizarre shoebill stork - the latter perhaps the most eagerly sought of all African birds.
10h30: Once done with the boat ride, rejoin your driver guide and proceed for a game viewing drive in the park.
Picnic lunch.
Exit the park in the late afternoon and drive back to Kigali. Arrival and drop off at your hotel or the Kigali International Airport.
