Tarangire National Park
Today, we set out early, collecting you from your Arusha hotel and heading south to Tarangire National Park. We arrive at a picnic site by midday, in time for lunch. Your afternoon game drive will show you the wonders of Tarangire, a national park often called the Elephant Playground. Herds of up to 300 of these mighty mammals are sometimes seen in the park. Tarangire easily rivals other parks in the Dry season for its animal densities. Besides the herds of elephants, Tarangire is a habitat for buffalo, lion, wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle, which are considered local specialties. The marshy shores of Lake Burungi are a magnet for animals and birds. Keep an eye out for giant kingfishers, hoopoes, and the white-bellied go-away bird. Tarangire is also famous for its magnificent baobab trees, expansive savannah, and acacia woodland, adding to the park's unique charm. After a captivating afternoon amidst the wildlife, we return to the campsite for dinner and a well-deserved rest.

Ngorongoro Crater Tour
Ngorongoro Crater is often called a world wonder, and your early morning game drive shows you why.
First, there is the volcanic caldera (the world’s largest intact caldera), full of grassland, forest, and swamp, a setting of jaw-dropping beauty. Secondly, the permanent water on the crater floor supports a resident population of more than 25,000 large mammals. Here, you will find many reasons you chose to come on safari: elephants, lions, leopards, hyenas, jackals, hippos, waterbuck, baboons, and even the rare black rhino finds shelter here.
The Masai share this incredible space with the animals, grazing their cattle in an area that has been a separate conservation area since 1956 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1978. This harmonious cohabitation of man and beast makes Ngorongoro unique in Tanzania. Your driver guide will be happy to explain this incredible coexistence to you.
