Pick up in Dar-es-salaam, drive to Selous Game Reserve for an evening boat safari

Pick you up at the hotel/airport in the morning and drive 5 - 6 hours to Selous, arriving at lunch and check-in at the camp. After lunch, go for an evening boat safari through the Rufiji River. Here you can experience the aquatic life mostly crocodiles and hippos, also you can see some animals come for drinking, also you can see uncountable number of bird species since the reserve has over 440 known species of birds while enjoying an amazing reserve's sunset. Back in the late evening for your hot dinner and overnight stay.

Early morning go for a full day game drive at Selous Game Reserve

After an early breakfast at 06:00, we depart at 6:30 to the Selous Game Reserve. We go on a full-day game drive across the park in a specially modified safari vehicle with a professional guide. On a game drive, you will see and learn a lot about a large number of animals, including all the great favorites – lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra – and all the other major species, including the now rare African wild dog. Experience the great variety of bird species, wonderful scenery with varied topography such as wetlands, dry grassland, light acacia forest and higher ground with long views of far-off mountains.

Enjoy your packed lunch and take some time to rest. Your guide will select a location with shade and water nearby to watch animals coming to drink – a place with a clear view all around so that no predator can creep up unseen! We will be back at the camp by 6:30 for sunset, and enjoy dinner when you’re ready.

Morning walking safari later drive back to Dar-es-salaam

A day you go for an early morning walking safari with a Bushman across the reserve's environment to learn about various histories, including traditional trees for medicines, various animal footprints and other small animals which you can not see during the game drive. We return to the camp for breakfast, where-after we drive back to Dar es Salaam.
