3-Day Uganda Birding Safari

Bird watching in Mabamba and transfer to Mburo National Park

On the first day, you will be picked by our driver guide from your hotel, brief you about the safari and then drive to Mabamba Bay which is on Lake Victoria accommodating over 300 bird species including the endangered shoebill. You will be able to spot other bird species such as Angola swallow, swamp flycatcher, Gonoleks, olive bellied sunbirds among other species of birds. After this amazing experience, you will embark on your journey to Lake Mburo National Park, arriving in the afternoon hours, check-in to the lodge, have lunch and then in the evening head to the park for another birding experience. You will return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Morning birding and boat cruise

Arise in the morning for a scrumptious breakfast and head to the jungle to spot you’re your favorite bird species that you were anxious about. You will be welcomed by the sweet melodies of black-bellied bustards, ground hornbills, brown-chested lapwings, Coqui francolins, rufous-bellied herons to mention but a few. You will return to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, you will go for an amazing boat cruise on Lake Mburo to spot some of the water loving birds such as African Finfoot, papyrus Gonolek, saddle billed storks, white winged swamp warbler among others. You will later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Transfer back to Kampala and birding in Entebbe Botanical garden

On your last day, you will arise in the morning for a delicious breakfast, meet your driver guide and transfer back to Entebbe. You will have a stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe where you will engage in Equator experience, take pictures while standing in the both hemispheres of the Earth, visit some craft shops and if you want you can buy some souvenirs and embark on your journey. Connect to Entebbe for lunch and proceed with your last leg at Entebbe Botanical Garden where you will spot your favorites as well and this will mark the end of your safari.
