Pick-up and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

On the first day, you will roll to the western Uganda’s National Park which is Kibale Forest National Park which is famous for hosting world’s largest chimpanzee population which surge about 1500 individuals with over 370 bird species hosted with 23 Albertine Rift endemics. You will enjoy the beautiful scenery as you head to the park, get exposed to how the homesteads are structured. You will have lunch en-route in Fort-Portal and embark on the journey to the park, connect to your accommodation, check-in, relax as you will enjoy a hot dinner in the Africa’s most silent jungle.

Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi wetland tour

Arise in the morning, enjoy a scrumptious breakfast and head to Kanyanchu which is a guest information center and this is where you will be guided on how best you will track the chimpanzees. Chimpanzees live in families, therefore, you will be assigned a family to track and you will be with a ranger guide who will help you to locate the Chimpanzees. Chimpanzee trekking starts early in the morning in order to find them when they are still in their nests, as you head deep in the forests you will be enjoying the sweet melodies of the birds that will be in the tree brunches as well. After chimpanzee trekking, you will head back to the lodge for lunch, relaxation and then in the afternoon you will be driven to the Bigodi wetland another birding paradise and a breeding place for the endangered shoebills, others that will not be missed are; blue turacos, kingfishers, Cassin’s spinetails, blue headed bee-eaters, low land-masked apalis, Nahan’s francolin to mention but a few.

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth and Boat cruise

On this eventful day, you will enjoy your delicious breakfast, check-out of the lodge and head to Queen Elizabeth National Park Uganda’s open savanna park. You will arrive in the time for lunch, check-in to the lodge, have a scrumptious lunch and in the evening you will do a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel in the evening which will expose you to the beauty of the animals that will be at the shores quenching their thirty and swimming. You will also enjoy the sunset on Kazinga channel as you are on the boat cruise that will take 2 hours, after that, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Game drive and transfer to Bwindi

On this fantastic day, you will wake up in the morning, have breakfast and check-out of the lodge and head to the jungle to see the beauty of the open savanna that is decorated with the big 4 which are lions, leopards, buffaloes and elephants. You will also be sure to spot tree climbing lions and this is the only park where you will find these lions in Uganda. You will later drive out of the park after lunch, and head to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Arriving will be in the evening hours, get to the lodge where you will spend your overnight as you wait for the next day’s gorilla trekking activity.

Gorilla tracking

This is another eventful day where you will have an early breakfast, get your lunch packed and head to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking. You will be assigned a gorilla family to track and then head to the jungle with a ranger guide who will lead you to the gorilla family that you will be tracking. You will spend an hour in the presence of gorillas, as you record every moment, taking pictures and videos, you will return to the park headquarters where you will be given a tracking certificate and proceed to the lodge in the evening, relax at the lodge as you catch the feelings of nature. You will spend the whole night relaxing.

Check-out and transfer to Kampala

Wake up in the morning, have your breakfast, check-out and transfer to Kampala. You will have a stopover in Mbarara for lunch and then embark on the journey and a second stopover at the Equator where you will be standing in two hemispheres of the world, engage in the Equator experience, there are some shops where you can buy some souvenirs and then embark on the journey to Kampala.
