Tarangire is famous for its largest population of elephants, some aging over 5000 years, which creates a stunning and photogenic landscape We will pause for a picnic lunch by the river's edge in the afternoon, where you can enjoy your meal while surrounded by curious wildlife However, be cautious of the cheeky monkeys that may try to steal your tasty meal. It also hosts an annual migration as exciting as the more famous Serengeti one. Though it is smaller in overall numbers, the most impressive is the number of elephants, up to 10,000, that gather on the river banks during the dry season to conquer their thirst In the evening, we will drive to a small town called Mto wa Mbu for your overnight stay.
