Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park

Please be ready for pickup at 05:30 hours from your hotel or home. Your personal driver guide will be there to give you a warm welcome. You will then proceed to Nyerere National Park, which is one of the hidden gems of Tanzania's parks. The park is home to large populations of African Wild Dogs. In Nyerere, African Hunting Dogs are thriving, unlike in most other areas of the continent. In fact, it is the last true stronghold for African hunting dogs in Africa. Although this species is highly endangered and rarely seen in other areas, Nyerere gives visitors a unique chance to observe them.

Nyerere National Park- Guided Game Drive & Boat Safari

After breakfast, you can go on a day-game drive for a half day till afternoon then back to the lodge for lunch relax then at 0400pm proceed for boat safari in Rufiji River The Rufiji River in Nyerere National Park is home to a high concentration of hippos and Nile crocodiles. The bird life in this area is diverse and abundant, with over 440 species of birds having been recorded. These species can be found in sandbanks, oxbow lakes, and channels. The rare species of Pel's fishing owls and white-backed heron can also be found living in the wooded section of the riverbank. This park is known for having the largest concentration of elephants on the continent.
