In the afternoon, you will spend some time getting used to the African wilderness. After having tea, at 4:00 pm, you will go for a game drive to search for the Big Five animals that roam the vast plains. The Big Five is a collection of mammals that were once known for their might to be hunted down. Masai Mara is also home to the Mara-Serengeti Ecosystem. This ecosystem hosts an annual million-strong migration of wildebeest and zebras in search of greener pastures. Our experienced driver guide will take you out into the open savannahs to spot big game, gazelles, and other animals. This phenomenon made this ecosystem the world's Seventh Natural Wonder of the World. At sunset, you will return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay at Sarova Mara Game Camp.

Masai Mara National Reserve

Masai Mara National Reserve

You'll start the day with an early morning wake-up call, enjoy a cup of hot Kenyan tea, coffee, or your favorite hot drink which you can request the night before. After that, you will embark on a game drive to witness the sunrise over the savannah, which is teeming with wildlife. Every day brings something different. There's no way of knowing precisely what each day will bring. That's why an early start is essential. Nocturnal species still on the prowl or predators gathered at a kill are better seen earlier in the day. You will then drive back to camp while viewing wildlife grazing before the heat of the day forces them to rest under the shade of the acacias or scrub. The rest of the morning is yours to explore, depending on the lodge, and you can appreciate the wonderful flora and fauna that surround the camp. After tea, you'll head out for a drive in search of wildlife that you haven't spotted yet. At dusk, you'll return to the camp for dinner and overnight at Sarova Mara Game Camp.
