Your adventure in the safari will start at Mwl. Nyerere International Airport, from where you'll embark on an exciting bush flight to Nyerere National Park. During your flight, you'll get to experience breathtaking views of the countryside villages and the Rufiji River. Once you cross the vast plains of Nyerere (formerly known as Selous), you'll arrive at Mtemere Airstrip.
Upon your arrival at the airstrip, a guide from Rufiji River Camp will be waiting to welcome you and take you on a game drive through the park. Afterward, they'll assist you in checking into your room. During your stay at the camp, you can enjoy a cold drink while admiring the river views or relax by the swimming pool. In the afternoon, you'll head out for a game drive to explore Nyerere National Park (formerly known as Selous) and return to the camp at dusk, just in time to freshen up before enjoying drinks around the campfire.

On the night prior to your safari, the safari manager will have a discussion with you regarding the available options. You will be presented with a range of activities to choose from, which will help you fulfill your bucket list wishes. The options include Early Bird Game Drive, Morning Game Drive, Early Morning Nature Walk, Morning Boat Safari, Full-Day Game Drive, Afternoon Game Drive, and Afternoon Boat Safari.

Starting your day with an early morning walk or game drive can be a great way to begin your adventure. After this, you can return in time for breakfast before heading to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Ruaha National Park. The flight number is 02, and it departs at 11:00. The estimated arrival time is 13:00, although this may vary based on schedule requirements. When you arrive at the airstrip, one of Ruaha River Lodge's guides will be there to greet you and assist you with the check-in process at the lodge.

Day 4

When you stay at Ruaha River Lodge, you can choose between half-day shared game drives or full-day game drives with a picnic lunch. These options promise an action-packed day out in the unscripted Tanzanian bush. There are different times for game drives to suit your preference. If you prefer an early start, the early morning game drive departs at 06:30 with a picnic breakfast and returns at 11:30. The morning game drive departs after breakfast at 08:30 and returns in time for lunch. If you prefer an afternoon game drive, it departs at 16:00 and returns at dusk, in time for sundowners. Alternatively, you can opt for a full-day game drive that departs after breakfast at 08:30 with a picnic lunch and returns at 16:00 for afternoon tea.

Day 5

After having breakfast, your driver guide from Ruaha River Lodge will transfer you to Msembe Airstrip for your domestic flight to Mafia. Once you arrive, you will be transferred to Kinasi Lodge, a four-star boutique hotel on Mafia Island. The hotel, established in 1995, is the first of its kind on the island and has only 15 rooms. It offers a wide range of services and activities for visitors, including scuba diving, snorkeling, kite-boarding, whale shark excursions, historical tours, antiquity and cultural tours, beach and island picnics, and involvement in local community projects such as turtle hatchings.

Day 6-8

Mafia Island is a part of Tanzania's Mafia Archipelago, located in the Indian Ocean. The southern coastline of the island, along with its surrounding waters, is protected by the Mafia Island Marine Park. This marine park is home to numerous coral reefs and a diverse range of marine life, including whale sharks and sea turtles. Ras Kisimani, which is located in the south, is a secluded beach right across Bwejuu Island. Popular Utende Beach borders Chole Bay. If you're staying at Kinasi Lodge, you can enjoy a variety of exciting excursions, including diving, snorkeling, kayaking with the Blue World, and whale shark watching. You can also avail of a sunset cruise, special boat ride, sunbathing and beach picnic, and fishing in the Mafia Archipelago. For nature lovers, there are nature trails and bird-watching opportunities as well as turtle hatching and humpback whale watching.

After breakfast, transfer to Mafia Airport for a flight to Dar es Salaam. Please note that you will need to change terminals from 2 to 3. From there, you can connect to an international flight at the end of your tour.
