Day 2

In the morning, after you have enjoyed your breakfast around 6:00 am, your driver guide will arrive at the hotel to pick you up and commence your adventure. It takes approximately 2 hrs. (about 109 km) to reach the Tarangire gate from Arusha. Popularly known as the Elephant Playground, Tarangire offers a magnificent variety of wildlife across its vast area. A large population of elephants calls this park home. Additionally, you can spot other animals such as lions, buffaloes, gazelles, zebras, and wildebeests here.

Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Karatu and transferred to southern Serengeti. On the way, you will pass through Ngorongoro and have the opportunity to enjoy a game drive around the Ngorongoro Highlands.

Ndutu is part of the larger Serengeti ecosystem and is particularly famous for the annual wildebeest migration. During the calving season, which typically occurs from December to March, vast herds of wildebeests gather in the Ndutu region to give birth to their young. The abundance of newborns attracts numerous predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, making it a prime time for wildlife viewing and photography. The open plains of Ndutu provide a spectacular backdrop for witnessing this natural phenomenon.
