Day 1-3

Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park in Kenya

Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park in Kenya

Greeted from Nairobi Airport or your hotel, you will be transferred 3.5 hours by road to Kenya's Lake Nakuru, a soda lake nestled into the ancient Rift Valley; a feeding ground for thousands of flamingos. The lake is protected by the surrounding national park, a mix of woodlands, bush, savannah and volcanic cliffs that make it a perfect habitat for four of Africa's Big Five. Perched at the top of a 100 meter high rock face sits Lake Nakuru's newest and smartest addition - The Cliff (a 10 room luxury camp), located inside the park, defies conventions by being a combination of safari lodge, tented camp and boutique hotel. Furnished in a contemporary style each tent is built on solid foundations facing the lake, allowing guests panoramic views. This is pure Africa, with room interiors combining organic chic with international design to create an understated style of modern boutique hotel. Enjoy daily professionally guided safaris with highly trained and experienced rangers and trackers.

Relax on your veranda and admire the Mara River with the Rift Valley escarpment in the distance. Migrating wildebeest gather on the riverbanks and into the Masai Mara. Witness the sounds of grunting gnu, hippos, hyenas and lions from your bed at night. At Entim, the local Maasai driver-guides purvey this vast region and possess an innate ability and instinctive talent to read nature’s signs as if it were an open book.
